Dr Richard Matson carries out general dentistry and restorative work including: dental implants (since 1984), advanced crown and bridgework, endodontics and cosmetics. Richard won Medical Protection Society Award to compare dental teaching at Harvard and Kings College Hospital. He has also won the Charles Freeman Scholarship to study Fixed Prosthodontics at North Western University, Chicago.
Dr Colin Lawson Baker trained both in medicine and dentistry at Guys Hospital. Medical preregistration appointments in surgery and medicine were undertaken at Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton where he stayed to do other post registration appointments. He commenced his clinical dental career at 1 Devonshire Place as Clinical Director at The Oral Hygiene Centre in the early 80s and purchased the practice soon after asking Richard Matson to join him in partnership which continued successfully for
Dr Iona Shanks qualified from Kings College Hospital Dental School in 1979 with a BDS (Hons). She has a Fellowship in Dental Surgery from The Royal College of Surgeons in London. Iona has taught undergraduate students at Kings College Hospital Dental School in both surgery and restorative dentistry. She practices general dentistry and sees both adults and children. Dr Kishan Modha trained at the Royal London and St Bartholomew’s School of Medicine and Dentistry and qualified in 2002. Later Kishan went back to the Royal London Hospital as a senior house officer in restorative dentistry and qualified to become a member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Dr Denise McPartlin was born in West London in 1970. She was brought up and attended school in Ealing. On completing her A-Levels she gained admission to the University of London, where she took up her Dental Studies at The Royal London Hospital in 1989. Miss Emma Christensen RDH has been working in the dental profession since 1984. She is Danish and qualified as a dental hygienist from the Eastman Dental Hospital School of Hygiene in 1992. Emma has gained a wealth of experience by treating patients and working with Professionals in Private Dental Clinics in the West End of London. Currently she is working for The Oral Hygiene Centre and The Devonshire Dental Clinic on a full time basis.
Abigail Ball RDH studied for a Diploma in Dental Hygiene at the prestigious Eastman Dental Hospital. Having previously worked as a dental nurse. Abigail is an understanding and caring person who treats the patients as a whole and works with a gentle yet thorough technique to ensure complete gingival health. She has been working at The Oral Hygiene Centre for one year and in this time has built up a great following of patients. She is a welcome edition to the team.
